Enrique R. Miranda- Paz
Chairman
Mr. Miranda-Paz is the past Chairman & CEO of Miranda Mining Corp. ("MRM"), which was acquired (2003) by Wheaton River Minerals. Prior to its sale to Wheaton River, Mr. Miranda-Paz initiated and established Teck Cominco's direct involvement in the Guerrero Gold Belt, and was responsible for identifying three and developing two significant gold discoveries, Ana Paula, Los Filos and El Limón-Los Guajes. Mr. Miranda-Paz has been active in the Mexican and international mining industry for the past 34 years, and currently is a director of several private Mexican entities. He holds a CPA degree from the National University of Mexico and a MBA from Wharton School, and commutes between Mexico City and Vancouver.
Richard O'C. Whittall
Director, President and CEO
Mr. Whittall is an investment banker based in Vancouver, British Columbia. His background includes serving as a past director of Miranda Mining Corp. from 1995 until its sale to Wheaton River Minerals (Goldcorp) in 2003. Mr. Whittall has participated in a diverse range of corporate activities, including mergers and acquisitions and completion of several major corporate financings in Canada. He currently serves as a director of several public and private companies, and holds degrees from the University of British Columbia and University of Cambridge.
Dr. David E. Euresti-Reyna

Dr. Euresti is the past COO of Miranda Mining Corp. Dr. Euresti has over 41 years experience in State and Privately-owned Mexican mining companies, such as Cananea, Autlán, Real de Angeles, Real del Monte (Managing Director), Macocozac, Química Fluor, Zincamex, and Lampazos among others. Dr Euresti has a Ph.D. Mineral Economics from Penn State University, and has a Metallurgic and Mining Engineer degree from the University of Guanajuato, Mexico. Dr. Euresti lives in Mexico City.
Joseph Fodor
Director
Mr. Fodor has 10 years experience as an investment banker in Vancouver and Toronto as well as 15 years in the practice of law in Toronto. He is currently the principal of Pitcairn Capital, a private investment-banking firm that specializes in providing structured finance advisory services to its clients. Mr. Fodor is a graduate of the University of Toronto and Queens University. He resides in West Vancouver.
Mauricio Miranda-Álvarez
Position: Director
Mr. Miranda brings to the board a balanced background in international law and investment finance. From 2001 to 2004 he was Associate Director and Product Manager for Hypo Vereinsbank - NY (HVB Group) participating in the structuring and implementation of financial transactions, credit and risk analysis. From 1996 to 2000 he was an Associate at the financial legal firm of Ritch, Heather and Mueller where he worked in the project and corporate finance, securities and banking areas. From 1993 to 1995 he assisted SAI Consultants as legal council related to foreign and government investment. Mauricio holds a degree in law from the Iberoamerican University, an LLM from the Northwestern School of Law, and has a CBA from the Kellogg Business School
Ken Thorsen
Director
Mr. Thorsen is a Geological Engineer (P.Eng.) with over 30 years of mining exploration experience with discoveries to his credit in Australia, Canada, Mexico and elsewhere. He served in several senior roles at Teck and Teck Cominco Ltd., retiring as President of Teck Explorations Limited in March 2002. Today, he continues to serves on the board of several public mining companies and is currently chairman of Fury Explorations Ltd. Mr. Thorsen plays a very active role in Aurea Mining technical programs and is a qualified person under NI43-101.
Dr. Klaus Zeitler
Director
Dr. Zeitler received his Ph.D. in Business Administration and Economics from the University of Karlsruhe, Germany in 1967. Most recently, Dr. Zeitler was the Senior Vice President of Teck Cominco Limited from 1997 until 2002. Previously, Dr. Zeitler was on the Board of Directors of Teck Corp. from 1981 to 1997, and was on the board of directors of Cominco Limited from 1986 to 1996. Dr. Zeitler was on the audit committee of Cominco Limited and Teck Corporation during a portion of his time on the board. He was also the Chief Financial Officer of a private Canadian mining company with zinc and lead concentrate production 1975 to 1981, and Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Metall Mining Corporation (now Inmet Mining Corporation) , a company whose shares are listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, from 1986 to 1996. Dr. Zeitler is presently a Director and President of Amerigo Resources Limited. Dr. Klaus Zeitler joined Aurea's Board on March 31, 2005.
Gillian Kearvell
VP Corporate Development
Ms. Kearvell is a geologist (BSc) with over 20 year's exploration experience working with both junior and senior companies throughout North America. She came to Mexico in 1994 with Teck Exploration and has acquired extensive experience in doing business in Mexico. During that time, as senior geologist and project manager Ms. Kearvell directly participated in and is a co-discoverer of both the San Nicolas VMS deposit in Zacatecas, Mexico and the El Limon-Los Guajes gold skarn in Guerrero, Mexico. She presently resides in Guadalajara, Mexico and is president of Minera GMK. S.A. de C.V.
Salvador Miranda
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Miranda became involved with Aurea Mining Inc. in January 2005 as its Chief Financial Officer. His functions include all financial, administrative and accounting aspects, including preparation and supervision of filings. Mr. Miranda is President of InterAmerica Consulting & Development Inc., a private business consulting company he founded in 1995 to develop business ventures between Canada and Mexico. He has also served as director, officer or consultant for several companies listed on the TSX Venture Exchange since 1997, and brings extensive public market experience to the Company. A civil engineer by training, Mr. Miranda holds a master's degree in Project Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Jesús Castro-Mora
Senior Project Geologist
Mr. Castro is a geological engineer with over 20 years experience within the mineral resource sector of the Mexican Geological Survey (the SGM), holding intermediate and senior management positions responsible for exploration, geophysical and drilling projects throughout Mexico. He was the coordinator for the Mining State Monographs for the states of Veracruz, Puebla, Oaxaca, Chiapas and Campeche. He was head of the department for Geological Sciences at the faculty of Engineering, National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), and was a professor of field geology and metallogeny. He is proficient in GIS and Datamine systems. Most recently he has been a consultant to the private exploration industry. As Aurea Mining's senior project geologist he brings a strong background and is a valuable addition to the team.
