Aurea Mining Inc. Closes First Tranche of Private Placement
Vancouver, BC: Aurea Mining Inc. ("Aurea") (MXA-TSX-V) is pleased to announce that it has closed the first tranche of the non-brokered private placement originally announced on June 21, 2007. Aurea has raised $2,343,800 by issuing 7,812,666 units at a price of $0.30 per unit. Each unit consists of one common share and one-half of a common share purchase warrant. Each whole share purchase warrant is exercisable to purchase an additional common share at a price of $0.40 per share for a period of two years expiring on June 29, 2009. The units will be subject to a hold period of four months as required by TSX Venture Exchange policies and securities law expiring on October 30, 2007. Aurea expects to close the second and final tranche in the next few days.
The proceeds of the private placement will be used to fund exploration of Aurea's mineral properties within the Guerrero Gold Belt in the State of Guerrero, Mexico, the Monte Albán / Taviche property in the State of Oaxaca, Mexico, and for working capital.
